What does responsible play mean?
Responsible gaming is a mindset that treats gaming as a form of entertainment, not a livelihood or a way to solve problems. At 12bag, playing responsibly means you decide how much you play, how much time you put in, and how much money you spend.
We know gaming can be a lot of fun. But when that fun becomes a habit, and habit turns into addiction, it can start to affect other areas of your life. 12bag always wants you to play for enjoyment — never out of obligation.
How Do I Set a Limit?
You can activate any tool from the Responsible Gaming section in Account Settings on the 12bag app or website. The process is straightforward.
Set a Deposit Limit
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Deposit Limit to set a daily, weekly, or monthly limit. Limits take effect immediately. Lowering a limit is instant, but increasing one requires a 7-day waiting period.
Loss Limit
Your session will end automatically if you lose more than a set amount. This protects you from chasing losses when emotions are running high.
Time Limits & Reminders
Set a daily time limit for how long you play. You'll get a reminder 15 minutes before your time is up. Another good habit is to check the clock before you start playing.
Why Taking Breaks Matters
Taking regular breaks is a key part of responsible gaming at 12bag. A cooling-off period is not the same as deleting your account — it's simply a temporary pause. Spend time with family, go out, or focus on other hobbies.
Research shows that players who take regular breaks enjoy gaming more over the long run. Playing for hours on end every day turns something enjoyable into a burden.
A Word of Advice: Before you start playing, ask yourself — 'How long will I play today, and what is my maximum spend?' Deciding on those two things in advance leaves no room to lose control.
Protecting Minors
Opening an account at 12bag is strictly prohibited for anyone under 18. As a parent or guardian, stay vigilant. If you have young children or teenagers at home, take the following steps:
- Use a PIN lock on your device
- Keep biometric login enabled on the 12bag app
- Never share your account password with anyone
- Don't Save Payment Methods on Your Device
Advice for Family & Friends
If someone close to you seems to be struggling with a gaming problem, talk to them with empathy rather than judgment. Remember, problem gaming is a mental health issue — not a moral failing.
Talk to them honestly and listen to how they feel. Encourage them to seek professional help. Family members are also welcome to contact 12bag Support.
Emergency support: Gaming addiction is a treatable condition. Seek advice from a mental health professional. In Bangladesh, Kaan Pete Roi helpline and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) can provide support. 12bag Support can also guide you to the right resources.
